Nautilus Mykonos
Blending authentic Greek flavors with contemporary Mediterranean influences, Nautilus has earned its place as one of the island's most beloved restaurants since opening its doors in 1994.
Tucked into Lakka, in Mykonos Town, Nautilus is one of those restaurants that feels polished without becoming overly formal.
Its identity is rooted in Greek and Mediterranean cooking, with a strong focus on seafood, seasonal ingredients and contemporary presentation. The restaurant traces its story back to 1994, making it one of the more established dining names in Chora.
Greek Flavours with a Contemporary Edge
The menu stays close to Mediterranean ingredients but gives them a more modern treatment.
Expect dishes built around fresh fish, grilled octopus, seafood pasta, risotto, premium meats and seasonal produce. Nautilus also highlights signature dishes such as charcoal-grilled lobster and Aegean-inspired sharing plates.
This is not a place trying to reinvent Greek food completely.
The appeal is in taking familiar island flavours and presenting them in a more refined way.
For Seafood — and Serious Meat
Seafood is one of the strongest parts of the menu.
Fresh catch, shellfish and Mediterranean-style seafood dishes sit alongside a substantial meat selection, including premium beef and dry-aged cuts. Nautilus Mykonos Restaurant Bar
That makes Nautilus particularly useful for groups where some people want fish and others want steak.
Dinner in Chora
Nautilus is best treated as an evening restaurant, not an all-day stop.
The current 2026 hours list the kitchen from 19:00 until midnight, with the bar continuing until 02:00.
That fits the rhythm of Mykonos Town perfectly.
Walk through Chora first, stop for dinner, then continue for drinks afterwards without needing to organise another transfer.
Wine, Cocktails & a Longer Evening
The wine list combines Greek and international labels, while the bar serves signature cocktails made with fresh ingredients.
I would arrive for dinner rather than just drinks, then stay longer at the bar afterwards.
It is a much better use of the venue.
In the Heart of Mykonos Town
The restaurant is located in Lakka, near the old post office, in the centre of Chora.
That means Little Venice, the windmills, shops and the rest of Mykonos Town are all easy to combine with dinner.
For first-time visitors, it also removes one of the usual Mykonos headaches: transport.
You can simply walk.
